Your First Visit
You should receive a welcome packet of information prior to your first visit. We provide this so that you may become familiar with us and so that you may complete your new patient paperwork at your convenience. You may also complete your forms online and email them to us. Or simply print the forms and complete them before appointment.
Usually, your first visit will involve a review of your medical and dental histories, blood pressure screening, appropriate x-rays, a thorough examination, including an oral cancer screening and, for more simple cases, a complete treatment plan. More involved treatment needs will likely require further study.
Since we pride ourselves in the higher level of diagnosis and service we provide, often, a second appointment is necessary for gathering diagnostic records. Dr. Barber will thoroughly review the records, develop a comprehensive treatment plan, and schedule a time to discuss his recommendations with you. Unlike many other dental offices, we will be sure that you fully understand your treatment needs and the plan we have established to accomplish your care.
Many times you may have the option to have your teeth cleaned on the same day. If you prefer to have your teeth cleaned first, you may do so, but this sometimes creates scheduling conflicts making it necessary to schedule your examination another day.
